Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Who uses GRIP?
GRIP is suitable for:
- Contingency recruiters,
- Retained recruiters,
- Executive Search,
- In-house recruiting teams
Our clients, some of whom have been with us for a number of years, run from generalists to highly specialist. We support individuals and multi-office operations among our customers and we're a leading choice among top recruiting firms. Whether you want to find candidates or clients or just build business intelligence, GRIP can work for you.
We're a contingency firm. How does GRIP work for us?
GRIP allows your office to collaborate and find qualified
candidates. Our tools lets recruiters see all of your agency’s
available jobs so they can quickly find the right matches to fill those positions.
You can share reports to save time as you pull in more search assignments
and we have many built-in automated tools to ease the amount ofdata entry.
With GRIP, you spend less time filtering through unqualified candidates and
more time talking to the right people.
We're an Executive Search firm. How does GRIP work for us?
Using its experience GRIP quietly links data into competitive knowledge and facilitates your efforts to communicate with passive candidates.
We're an in-house recruiting department. How does GRIP work for us?
GRIP allows you to pinpoint talent within your organisation and manage the internal talent pools. It can also help you leverage your HR knowledge (your competitive intelligence) to benefit the rest of the company.
Your valuable information can now be shared.
I run a solo operation. Do I need to buy a server to run GRIP?
No. We have designed GRIP to run efficiently on a stand-alone workstation or laptop.
How will GRIP adapt to our needs as our business changes?
Like many of our current clients, it's likely that the size and scope of your business will grow after implementing GRIP. In anticipation of this, we've built GRIP using a highly scalable architecture, allowing for a large number of users and multiple offices
We've also made GRIP flexible: you can encode skills and many system choices with your own terminology. Unlike some other recruiting software, GRIP doesn't box you into a rigid way of doing things. So if you expect to expand your business, GRIP will easily respond.
What's the difference between GRIP and simple contact management systems?
It's the same as the difference between an x-ray and a photograph. GRIP goes beneath the surface of your data to reveal the hidden relationships that give
you knowledge vital to your business. While contact management software offer an overall picture of your data, they don't get inside the data where the real value is.
How does GRIP handle our CV’s?
GRIP gives you a couple of options: you can link your files to a record or you can import them into the database.
With our powerful Document Manager, you keep tabs on all of the files associated with a candidate in your system.
GRIP is a relational database—why is this important?
It means less work for you. If you change anything in one part of the system – it
is changed everywhere. By keeping the data well organised, GRIP saves you time and increases your productivity.
I've purchased software in the past, but the company doesn't keep up with product updates. What's your policy on updating your GRIP Recruiting Software?
We're always working to improve our existing product. Our goal is to maintain
compatibility with other applications and offer the advantage of new technology before anyone else.
This past year alone we've incorporated scores of new features into GRIP and released two major options.
How can we ensure the safety of our data?
GRIP allows you to schedule data backups (no SQL Server administration is needed). With our architecture, you
can store your data on another server at another location.
How do we find out more about GRIP?
We thought you'd never ask—after
all, what you've read here is just the tip of the iceberg.
